The following is a list of job openings for the Wiscasset School Department: The following positions will be filled when suitable candidates are found. Wiscasset School Department Open Positions 2008/2009 School Year Substitute Teachers and long term substitutes Wiscasset School Department Salary Range: $70/day  Long term subs go on salary after 10 consecutive days Application: Substitute Teacher Wiscasset School Department is looking for quality substitute teachers for all levels (primary, middle and high school). Duties include classroom instruction and various other duties. Spare/Sub Bus Drivers Flexible hours and schedule. Fill in for regular morning and afternoon bus routes (includes Alna, Westport Island & Wiscasset) and may be hired for field trips, co-curricular and sports events, etc. on an as needed basis. Will include pre-K through high school students. Qualifications: Great attitude, clean driving record, and enjoy working with kids. Valid State of ME bus operator's license; current school bus driver physical and CHRC fingerprinting certificate. Willingness to be random drug/alcohol tested. Substitute Bus Driver - Special Education Five(5) day work week, seven(7) hours per day through end of school year. Will include several daily trips between Wiscasset and Baxter School in Falmouth. Knowledge or willingness to learn sign language a PLUS! Qualifications: Great attitude, clean driving record, and enjoy working with kids. Valid State of ME bus operator's license; current school bus driver physical and CHRC fingerprinting certificate. Willingness to be random drug/alcohol tested.
